PEACE
This sign represents universal peace and was created by British artist Gerald Holtom in 1958.   The three lines in the circle represent two letters – N and D, which stands for Nuclear Disarmament.  The popularity of the symbol quickly spread during the Vietnam War and is now an internationally known symbol for peace among all people.

PENTAGRAM (PENTACLE)
The Pentagram is a symbol of a star that is encased in a circle.  The top point represents spirit while the other four points represent earth, air, fire and water – elements which all contribute to life.  It is said that wearing a Pentagram is a statement that one is connected with the elements and has a respect for the Earth.  It is also a symbol of protection against negative forces.

TRIQUETRA
Also known as the ‘trinity knot’ or the ‘celtic triangle’, it is the combination of 3 interlocked loops with a circle in the middle.  It is a symbol of protection, spiritual unity, eternity and infinity.  Due to the 3 loops, it is thought to represent a trio of meanings such as past/present/future, mind/body/spirit, life/death/rebirth or creation/preservation/destruction.

YIN YANG
This symbol represents perfect balance and harmony as two halves come together to complete wholeness.  Each half contains an opposing aspect because nothing is ever completely ‘yin’ or ‘yang’.  Each aspect contains the beginning point of the other aspect in order for their definitions to exist.  For example, day becomes night and night becomes day.
