CARDS - ORACLE (A-K)
WHAT ARE ORACLE CARDS?
Any deck that isn't a standard 78 card deck (with the Major and Minor Arcanas) is called an Oracle deck. Oracle cards are random in number but usually range between 20 - 50 cards per deck, depending on the author. They tend to come with a guidebook and are often used to offer guidance in a quick and simple way.
SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAROT CARDS AND ORACLE CARDS THEN?
The main difference between them is that Tarot decks are ALWAYS a set of 78 cards but Oracle decks don't have a set structure or specific number of cards.
They can both be used to receive guidance so it really just depends on the individual's preferences. Some people like specific themes and illustrations while others are drawn to the specific messages that are on the cards. If you talk to most people, they will usually have at least one of each in their card collection!
