DESCRIPTION
Dorien is our new teacher for Monday nights. Dorien has a background as a psychic, medium and spiritual healer and you may have seen her working in our shop on the weekends.
The meditation format will be similar to what people have experienced in previous years but of course, Dorien will bring her own unique style, energy and personality to these nights.
(PLEASE NOTE - no classes on public holidays or when it is 40+ degrees)

DESCRIPTION
Each week, a different form of meditation healing will be the focus, such as relaxation and confidence building; chakra and crystal healing; or healing through forgiveness and letting go of anger. Relaxation breath work is included each week.
Kathryn specialises in counselling, psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), transactional analysis and hypnotherapy to help clients find greater happiness in their lives.

ANSWERS - Meditation
1. What is meditation?
Meditation is a mental discipline where one attempts to free the mind of any thought or emotion in order to enter a deep state of relaxation. Through this deep state of relaxation and shift in consciousness, one can gain greater awareness, thus allowing one to hear their own guidance better. Meditation often involves turning attention to a single point of reference. It has been recognised as a component of many religions and has been practiced for thousands of years.
 
2. What are the benefits of meditation?
Meditation can be extremely beneficial in:
1. Relieving stress and tension
2. Increasing clarity and allowing us to find peace within ourselves so we can hear the answers and guidance that we need.
3. Slowing us down so we remember to appreciate our journey and that it's not always about the final destination.
4. Improvement of health
5. Increase in concentration levels
6. Allows us to find our purpose in life
 
3. What style of meditation is this?
These sessions are guided meditations in a circular group setting. There will be comfortable chairs to sit on but if people prefer, they can lay on the floor although this is not recommended as most often, people tend to fall asleep!
 
4. Is this a class or a course?
This is NOT a meditation course but rather a weekly drop-in class.
Participants are welcome to come at ANY time they wish and as many times as they wish.

Follow the above map accordingly depending on if you are coming FROM the city or TO the city.
If you are coming from the city, you have to turn right at Leader Street because you cannot directly turn right into Railyway Tce North and into our car park. You have to go around the block.
If you are coming from the south, it's a much easier path as all you have to do is turn left into Railway Tce North.
